Senator Alan Lowenthal (D-Long Beach) held a press conference with proponents of his Senate Bill 1456 dealing with community colleges. Also appearing were State Senator Carol Liu (D-La Canada/Flintridge) and Dr. Jack Scott, chancellor of the California Community Colleges, along with students and other representatives of the community college community.
