Our hearts are with all families affected by the Mountain Fire, and we want to ensure you have access to critical resources to stay safe during this challenging time. Below are resources and guidance to help you navigate immediate needs, shelter options, pet and livestock evacuation, and more.

 

Pet and Livestock Evacuation Assistance

If you need help evacuating pets or livestock, Ventura County Animal Services has activated an on-call emergency volunteer rescue team to assist with animal evacuation. This team, composed of local volunteers, works under VCAS personnel to move animals to safe, predetermined locations within Ventura County. Learn more: VCAS Emergency Volunteer Rescue Team.

Temporary Shelter and Resources for Displaced Residents

  • American Red Cross (Ventura County) provides shelter, food, and other services for evacuees.
  • Temporary Evacuation Point: Padre Serra Parish, 5205 Upland Road, Camarillo, serves as a gathering point for evacuees to receive assistance and temporary shelter.

- Pacific View Mall Shopping Center: 3301 E. Main Street

- Ventura Community Park: 901 S. Kimball Road

Financial and Legal Assistance for Uninsured Residents

  • FEMA: Offers financial support for housing and other disaster-related expenses. Apply at fema.gov or call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).
  • U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA): Low-interest disaster loans for homeowners, renters, and businesses.
  • Legal Aid Foundation of Ventura County: Free legal help with insurance, landlord issues, and other fire-related legal matters.
  • California Department of Insurance: For guidance on wildfire insurance claims, contact (800) 927-HELP (4357).

Local Organizations Providing Food, Water, and Supplies

  • United Way of Ventura County and Food Share Ventura County: Providing food, emergency assistance, and resources during the fire.
