“Governor Newsom’s budget advances bold new ideas to fight California’s climate emergency. By advocating the passage of California’s first ever climate resiliency bond, putting $1 billion toward publicly-supported green innovation and committing $2 billion to expand our firefighting corps, harden our homes and protect our communities from disaster, Governor Newsom is placing resiliency at the top of the agenda.



Stern-Authored Bills on First Responder Mental Health, Aliso Canyon and Other Critical Issues Set to Take Effect January 1

SACRAMENTO – On January 1st, five bills authored this year by Senator Henry Stern (D-Calabasas) and signed by Governor Newsom will become state law.
